This product contains the following models : 1 - Shuttle Crawler Transporter. The Shuttle Crawler Transporter were designed to carry the Mobile Launch Platform (MLP) from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida, USA. Kennedy Space Center has 2 crawler-transporters. Each vehicle consists of eight tracks, two on each corner. The crawler powered by 16 traction motors. Maximum speed of the crawler is 1.6km (one mile) per hour. The crawler measures are 40 meters (131 ft) wide, 35 meters (114ft) long.The height of the crawler is 6 meters (20ft) to 8 meters (26 feet) adjustable. Weight: 2,721 metric tons (6 million pounds). The crawler is controlled from two control cabs located at either end of the vehicle. 2 - Mobile Launch Platform The NASA's Mobile Launch Platform (MLP) is the transportable launch bases for the Space Shuttle vehicle. The MLP is impressive steel structures, 25 ft. high, 160 ft. long and 135 ft. wide. Fully assembled Space Shuttle mounted on MLP, are moved from their parking locations at the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to the launch pad by Crawler Transporter. There are three MLPs at Kennedy Space Center. 3 - Space Shuttle High detailed Space Shuttle with detailed external tank, and solid rocket boosters. Shuttle has 5 different textures included for Discovery, Endeavour Columbia, Challenger, and Atlantis. Features: This scene is very realistic and highly detailed. Models has all the features of the real one. Drawings and high detailed reference images were used to design these models. All textures and materials are included. Textures are high resolution jpeg images ( 2048*2048 ) pix for main parts, ( 1024*1024 ) pix for other small parts. The textures and maps are in a separated compressed file. Previews were rendered with vray. The 3d studio Max version is setup with Vray ( settings included). 3ds Max models are set up in layers for easy selection or any re-configure. Tracks are grouped and pivoted for animation purposes, but not animated. Models are high resolution and perfect for close-up detailed renders, pre-render projects, planning, simulations and animation. All models of this scene can be purchased also separately.
