In the 1950's, architect and designer, Aero Saarinen set forth a goal, to create new meaning and visual appeal to chairs and tables through sculpting concepts and tecniques. Result was the Tulip chairs, originally designed as part of his pedestal collection in 1956,  was truly a functional work of art. Originally modeled in 3D Studio Max 7, no special plugins required.
